Help your skin heal and look healthy long-term with exosomes.
Time takes a toll on our physical appearance, which is why fighting signs of aging and maintaining the skin’s health are critical to the appearance of youth and vitality. Dull, blemish-prone skin and rough-textured skin can be treated with the latest nanoparticle technology to help enhance cell-to-cell communication and support regenerative benefits that include tighter, brighter, naturally-contoured and more youthful-looking skin.
As scientists learn more and more about the ability of exosomes to improve skin health, new technologies are being developed to harness their power. Science has come a long way since exosomes were first discovered in the 60s, and we can now use them topically to improve the appearance of our skin. Exo Elixir and EVO GRO treatments don’t require a blood draw. Rather than utilizing your own growth factors, Exo Elixir contains newer, younger growth factors for maximum effect.
Exosomes have been shown to play a variety of functions; they are important for wound healing and skin and hair health. They help diminish hyperpigmentation and hydrate the skin, while speeding up the healing process after a procedure. Microneedling treatments, for example, can be enhanced with exosomes thanks to the tiny microchannels formed by the needles, which can transport exosomes directly into the skin to aid in regeneration.
Exosomes are generated by almost every cell type in the body and are released when the cell fuses with the plasma membrane. They’re essential for several reasons, but their primary function is to help with cell-to-cell communication. For the body to maintain a healthy status, the cells must be able to communicate effectively. A stall in information flow, such as following an injury or sickness, can cause an imbalance in the body; this is where exosomes can play a vital role.
Exosomes can “communicate” like this because they can transfer their contents, including proteins, lipids, RNA, and other vital materials, to the cells; this allows for two-way communication between cells, which is essential for maintaining a healthy balance in the body. Exosomes have been proven to promote tissue generation, which can help the body remodel and heal. They’re part of a family of particles called extracellular vesicle’s (EVs). EVs are tiny sac-like structures that contain fluid and play a vital role in cell communication and intercellular transport.
Fibroblasts
There are many different types of cells in connective tissue, but fibroblasts are the most common and essential for wound healing and tissue regeneration. Unfortunately, we lose 1% of our dermal fibroblasts each year. Fibroblasts produce the protein collagen, which is responsible for keeping our skin firm and supple.
Growth Factors
Growth factors are signaling proteins necessary for cell proliferation, cell differentiation, and cell survival; they regulate many biological processes and are essential for wound healing and tissue regeneration.
Cytokines
Cytokines are a type of protein involved in cell signaling; they’re important for regulating immune and inflammatory responses.
Exosomes will act in three phases to work to repair the cells within the areas of treatment. Exosomes are continually active over a period of 6 to 8 months post treatment.
No. There is no risk for rejection from the body as the exosomes are not live cells and do not contain any foreign material. Furthermore, there is no risk of mutation or other forms of adverse effects often seen with stem cell therapy.
EXO ELIXIR™ Facial improves the appearance of your skin by producing the collagen that keeps it from sagging, giving you that firm, youthful look while dramatically reducing downtime, and post-treatment symptoms.
Exo Elixir Facial is the hot, new cutting-edge treatment available for regenerative health of the face and hair. With results that live up to the hype and little to no downtime post-procedure, it’s no surprise that this amazing product has become quite the talk of the town. When applied in combination with microneedling, purified exosomes, also known as extracellular vesicles, are able to target areas of inflammation and injury to promote cellular regeneration, boost collagen production, and significantly improve skin quality and complexion.
Microneedling is a non-surgical procedure that creates thousands of microscopic channels in the skin surface to promote cellular regeneration and boost collagen production. When used during an exosome facial session, these newly fashioned micropores substantially improve exosome infusion and absorption required to produce optimal results.
While full results may take a few weeks to appear, most patients notice skin tightening, minimization of pore size, decreased lines and creases, and a glowing, radiant complexion within just a few days. Results last for several months, and downtime is minimal with a full return to normal daily activities the day following your treatment session
The Exo Elixir Facial is suitable for ALL skin types and genders at any age. This cutting-edge regenerative treatment is quickly becoming one of the most popular non-surgical procedures available. Ideal candidates include those looking to improve skin radiance and hydration, uneven skin tone and texture, acne or post-traumatic scarring, enlarged pore size, and skin laxity.
Evo Gro injected into the skin has been shown to promote regenerative processes in skin cells and the restoration of skin tissue to a younger and healthier-looking state.
In the world of anti-aging, stem cells (multi-purpose cells that can become any cell the body needs) have been a premier treatment for over a decade. Based on the fact that a natural decline in stem cells is a part of the aging process, specialists have been introducing stem cells into the body to boost their age-preserving action. But what if we were able to go one step further in order to precisely guide their action, and revive our own tired cells?
Exosome therapy has recently been regarded as the one of the best natural treatments to combat the inevitable side effects of aging. Exosomes tiny vesicles released from many different types of cells throughout the body, most of the time they are 1/1,000th the size of a real cell. Their main function is to carry critical cellular communication information from one cell to another, but they are not live cells themselves.
Exosomes assist directly with increasing skin elasticity and collagen to promote firmness and smoothness. They carry the necessary information to the resident cells to trigger the repair of fine lines, wrinkles and areas of damaged texture. Patients should expect to see a reduction in skin irritation, redness, fine lines, age spots, dullness, and dryness.
Exosome therapy has been shown to improve acne, sagging skin, enlarged pores, scaring, uneven tone and have often been shown to increase volume in hollowed portions of the face due to aging.
This new advanced treatment, called EVO GRO, is an incredible breakthrough in hair regeneration. Exosome therapy is a less expensive alternative to hair replacement surgery. This non-invasive treatment option increases hair thickness, fills in a receding hairline, and treats baldness and alopecia. Evo Gro is completely natural and non-toxic. It tackles the issues of hair loss on a cellular level. Rather than using a chemical that might have unwanted side effects, it is all natural, and contains mRNA, a biological messenger that communicates between the body's cells.
Using the approach of Exosome Therapy with Evo Gro tackles hair loss on a cellular level. Evo Gro uses cells derived from Wharton's Jelly, with over 300 growth and regrowth factors. These stem cells and growth factors in placenta influence hair growth through cellular proliferation to prolong the anagen phase, induce cell growth, and stimulate hair follicle development.
The mechanism of Evo Gro is cell to cell communication; as more cells are created, the hair grows out of the skin and reaches the surface. This has been shown to play a central role in hair morphogenesis and regeneration.
A growth factor is a naturally occurring secreted protein capable of stimulating cell proliferation, wound healing, and cellular differentiation. Growth factors are important for regulating a variety of cellular processes and typically act as signaling molecules between cells.
In just one to two sessions, you may experience dramatic hair regrowth. Results vary widely based on follicle health, patient health history, stress, diet, hormone levels and medications. Of course, not everyone is a candidate for this treatment; our dedicated RN will review your case to ensure that you can potentially benefit from this treatment. Most patients experience significant results after six months, the time it takes for a full cycle of hair follicle growth. We monitor your progress throughout the process and will make recommendations regarding treatments if needed.
PRP- also known as Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy is a new treatment that uses your own growth factors from your platelets to stimulate repair and regeneration of tissues. PRP can be used for hair regrowth, facial rejuvenation and scar reduction. PRP has been used for years to treat pain and injured tissue and joints. Now, use your own body’s healing cells to stimulate your hair and skin.
PRP can treat anything from fine lines and sun damage to deep wrinkles dark undereye circles and acne scarring. It requires a simple blood draw from the arm and uses a centrifuge to separate the platelets into platelet rich plasma. This PRP has abundant natural growth factors that enhance the health and growth of many skin cells. This PRP is either injected into the skin or placed on the skin after another procedure such as microneedling or fractional resurfacing that allows it to penetrate in the skin.
Platelet-rich plasma therapy is for people who are in good health and do not have any serious skin conditions. The people who tend to see the most benefit :
Hair Restoration: PRP can slow down hair loss and stimulate new hair growth. It is usually injected into the areas of hair loss.
Facial rejuvenation: In the face, PRP can stimulate collagen production, keeping the skin smooth, plump and firm. This is often applied after microneedling or laser treatments to enhance the results. PRP can also be used in conjunction with fillers to enhance collagen stimulation and provide longer lasting results.
Scar reduction: PRP can improve scars by enhancing collagen growth. This is often combined with fillers or subcision.
A small amount of your blood is drawn and is then placed in a centrifuge and spun to separate the platelets and plasma from the other components of the blood. The platelets contain several growth factors that can help stimulate cell growth, collagen and tissue regeneration. After the plasma and platelets are separated from the rest of the blood, they are injected into areas where you want to have more youthful skin.
Platelet-rich plasma therapy has been introduced as a new non-surgical treatment for alopecia, or hair loss, for both men and women. The PRP is injected into the patient’s scalp, helping to stimulate the hair follicle to aid in hair regrowth without pain. Talk to the nurse to see if PRP therapy would be a good option to treat your hair thinning or hair loss.
The first effects of the treatment are visible after two weeks. Tissue reconstruction begins already 48 hours after the first treatment.
The biggest stimulation of collagen production occurs one month after the treatment.
The improvement of the tightness, flexibility and density of the skin, collagen fibres remodelling, and smoothing of fine lines is achieved after three treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
For hair loss: as soon as after two treatments, considerable thickening of hair and improved hair condition is visible.
Downtime: Varies depending on procedure. Initial redness will occur in the treatment area and can last anywhere from 2-4 days (or more with Profractional). Some patients heal in as little as 24 hours. Deeper treatments require more healing tim
As all the components received in PRP have autologous origin, the risks of a local immunological response, intolerance and allergy are excluded.
Contraindications include:
Immediately after the procedure, there will be some swelling and redness, but no significant or lasting side effects have been reported.
Improvement begins as soon as the procedure is done and continue for about three months. It is usually recommend to have a series of threatment to see the best results. The overall effects can last for more than a year.
*Results may vary by individual
Hair restoration is a cutting-edge, non-surgical treatment for people who suffer from hair loss & thinning hair. During treatments, growth factors can be injected into the scalp to grow thicker, fuller hair. At TLC Laser & Skincare, we provide hair restoration treatments to men and women. To regain confidence and a full head of hair without surgery or downtime.
Blood mainly consists of a liquid called plasma, and contains red blood cells, white blood cells and growth factors. Growth factors are commonly used by medical professionals to heal injuries. A high concentration of platelets and growth factors can be 5-10 times richer than normal plasma.
In order to develop and prepare the hair restoration serum, we will draw a small amount of your blood. Using the centrifuge at our medical spa, we will separate growth factors from other blood cells in order to increase their concentration. The increased concentration of growth factors is then combined with the remaining blood.
Although the science behind growth factors is not crystal clear, studies show that the increased concentration can speed up the healing process.
Growth factors are used to treat tendonitis and can improve healing after surgery, as it accelerates tissue regeneration and new cellular growth. For hair restoration, growth factors can be injected into the scalp in order to stimulate inactive hair follicles into active growth.
A small amount blood will be drawn, in the same way that routine blood samples are taken in a lab. We will then prepare the serum by centrifuging your blood sample. The centrifuge machine has a rapidly rotating container that uses centrifugal force to separate the growth factors.
The nurse will then add the serum to a syringe and inject it into your scalp. Injections are made in order to deliver the highly-concentrated growth factors into the skin at the level of any weak hair follicles. The entire procedure takes 30 minutes to an hour to complete, but you will be able to drive yourself home afterward and resume your regular routine. There is no downtime

Patients usually see improvements in hair thickness, texture and growth within a few weeks after treatment. It can take several months to see measurable results. We recommend 3-6 treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart, for best results. You will need maintenance treatments every 1-2 years to maintain the results of your hair restoration treatment. No procedure can change your genetic predisposition for hair loss, so subsequent sessions are strongly encouraged.
*Individual results may vary; not a guarantee.
PRP therapy is not suitable for everyone and caution should be taken especially in patients with a history of heavy smoking, drug or alcohol use, or a medical diagnosis such as platelet dysfunction syndromes, heart disease, chronic skin diseases or cancer, metabolic and systemic disorders.
If considering PRP therapy, it is important to fully disclose your medical history to the specialist. For those suitable for PRP, remember that results will vary between individuals and, as with any medical treatment, no specific result can be promised.
PRP can be used as a stand-alone treatment for those that are prone to side effects from other hair loss treatments. As a non-surgical treatment, PRP can be combined with medical hair loss treatments, such as Minoxidil and other DHT inhibitors, Revive Hair Loss Mesotherapy as well as a designed natural hair products for hair loss. It can also be used before, during or after surgical hair restoration, such as a hair transplant.
Patients have reported the following benefits of using platelet rich plasma for hair restoration:
PRP Hair Treatments do not require any preparatory medications, or recovery down time. Patients can wash their hair in the few hours following the procedure but they should avoid any harsh chemical treatments such as hair coloring or perming for at least 72 hours.
Unlike many hair growth medications, PRP therapy hair treatments do not have significant side effects. Mild inflammation, swelling, and redness may be experienced for a short period after the treatment. All concerns and medical history can be discussed with our professionals during your consultation.
CyroCorrect is a non-invasive skin treatment that can reduce sun spots and remove skin tag. This procedure provides the most advanced technology in cryotherapy. CryoCorrect gently freezes away skin tags and unwanted blemishes from the face, body, and hands. Improvements are typically noticeable after only 1 session, although you may want more sessions to treat persistent or larger problem areas.
During treatment, age spots, sun spots, and skin tags are removed using a microfine burst of liquid CO2 that freezes the water in the discolored skin cell, which forces the cell to expand over time (usually four to six weeks) and combust, making the discolored spot disappear. And, its unique factor compared to other skin pens on the market is its use of liquid carbon dioxide instead of liquid nitrogen, which allows it to freeze the skin at a milder temperature and and give you the results you’re looking for with less risk of scarring.
Due to the ease of this procedure, the CryoCorrect Precision Pen can typically be a quick add-on to your scheduled treatment or as a stand-alone treatment. The skin is thoroughly cleansed prior to treatment to ensure reduce any risk of infection. The Pen is then applied to a sunspot on the desired treatment area for about five seconds, three times. You may experience a slight cooling, stinging feeling, but overall, it was pretty painless. A bit of stinging and itchiness may last for about 10 minutes after the treatment. You can expect the treated areas to turn red immediately following the treatment. A scab can sometimes form after one week, and finally disappeared about 4-6 weeks later. It’s important to also keep treated areas out of the sun while the lesion is healing.
The results of treatment are typically seen within 4-6 weeks of the treatment. Many individuals may experience a scab to the area, that will heal, and along with it the treated lesion will disappear. On occasion the lesion may need to be treated again for full corrective results. The CryoCorrect Pen treats.
· Sun Spots
· Dark Spots
· Skin Tags
· Age Spots
Typically, the lesions are treated in one session, but depending on the size and severity can take multiple treatments.
Results are usually seen in a 4-6 week period of time.
Results vary depending on the person, it’s important to continue using good sun protection to ensure the spots don’t come back and new spots don’t form.
Typically, patients may experience some slight stinging during the procedure and shortly afterwards that quickly subsides.
You can expect for the treated lesion(s) to be red after treatment and potentially turn into a scab within a week after treatment. It’s important to keep the skin protected from the sun and in a bout 4-6 weeks the scab should return to your normal skin, with the treated lesion safely removed.
Directly after your treatment we recommend using plain Vaseline. It is ok to cover with a light mineral makeup.
