Nano Laser Peel removes a thin layer of damaged skin to improve texture and provide a more youthful appearance. It provides superior results because it can be administered with great precision of depth. The procedure is performed in less than 30 minutes and can be custom tailored to your specific skin conditions and desired outcome.

The Nano Laser Peel beam is scanned over a treatment area to remove a very thin layer of the skin. Removing the top layer eliminates some of the damaged cells that can give skin a tired, aged look. Plus, it activates messenger cells to trigger the body’s natural healing process. As the skin heals, fresh cells grow and resurface the treated area. The result is healthier-looking skin, often with reduced wrinkles and improved color evenness. Patients often say that it looks like their skin went from looking tired to vibrant.

Your skin will be cleaned in the treatment area and your eyes will be protected with safety shields. The technician will position the laser handpiece above the skin and will hold it in place as the computer-guided scanner moves the laser beam around the treatment area. Depending on the size of the area being treated, the procedure usually lasts 10 to 20 minutes.

One of the primary advantages of Nano Laser Peel is that it causes little pain because it does not penetrate very deeply into the skin. At its most shallow settings, most people can tolerate treatment with no anesthetic at all.

Immediately after the treatment you will notice that the skin has a “frosty” appearance. This is the dehydrated skin that will peel away a next few days following the treatment. You may experience some skin redness and a sensation resembling sunburn, as well as mild swelling.

You may be given skin care products and instructions on how to use them. Your skin will be sensitive to ultraviolet light after the procedure, so you must avoid direct sun exposure until fully healed. It is recommended that you always use some level of solar protection to avoid sun damage and premature aging of your skin.

Temporary redness or flaking may appear 24 – 72 hours post treatment.  The South Beach Peel is minimally invasive with quick, noticeable results.  It is important to wear sunscreen and avoid sun exposure as your skin needs time to heal and rejuvenate.

Part I: BBL™ Photo Rejuvenation BBL  stands for BroadBand Light and is a type of intense pulsed light technology that treats sun and age spots as well as vascular issues and rosacea. BBL works by treating the upper layers of the dermis to stimulate your skin cells, which helps to restore your skin to a more youthful state. During treatment, you will feel warm as the light energy is absorbed deep in your skin. You may feel a gentle snapping sensation, like a rubber band being snapped against your sin. The entire BBL portion will take about 15 to 30 minutes.

Part II: MicroLaserPeel®

During the second phase of your South Beach Peel, we will pass the MicroLaserPeel handpiece over the treatment area as quick pulses of laser energy are emitted. This energy will heat up the moisture in your skin and vaporize certain areas of the epidermis. This allows new cells to take the place of damaged skin. As with the BBL treatment, most patients compare the feeling of the laser treatment to tiny rubber band snaps. This phase of your South Beach Peel typically takes up to 45 minutes.

Recovery time can vary, especially because each patient is unique and they will have a customized treatment where the depth of the laser is tailored to their needs. With that said, healing usually will take a few days, so many people have their South Beach Peel on a Thursday or Friday and return to work the following Monday. Usually, immediately after the treatment, it looks like you have a slight sunburn, but this will begin to fade after about 3 days and can be covered by makeup by day 4 or 5.

The BBL therapy will trigger collagen growth, providing you with smoother, healthier skin, while the MicroaserPeel portion of the treatment can significantly lighten areas of sun damage, acne scars, keratoses, and pigmented lesions. Overall, the treatment enhances collagen and melanin, which leaves your skin more youthful and refreshed.
