Nano Laser Peel is a perfect introduction to laser treatments for any patient interested in the newest way to get smoother, brighter skin
.
With just 1-2 days of downtime, you can make your appointment on Friday and let your skin recover over the weekend. Then get back to work, play, commitments—— and compliments!
Skin feels soft and super smooth. Make-up goes on easily and blends flawlessly.
If you get botulinum toxin or filler injections to smooth wrinkles around your eyes or mouth, indulge in a Nano Laser Peel to restore a fresh glow on your entire face.
Nano Laser Peel removes a thin layer of damaged skin to improve texture and provide a more youthful appearance. It provides superior results because it can be administered with great precision of depth. The procedure is performed in less than 30 minutes and can be custom tailored to your specific skin conditions and desired outcome.
The Nano Laser Peel beam is scanned over a treatment area to remove a very thin layer of the skin. Removing the top layer eliminates some of the damaged cells that can give skin a tired, aged look. Plus, it activates messenger cells to trigger the body’s natural healing process. As the skin heals, fresh cells grow and resurface the treated area. The result is healthier-looking skin, often with reduced wrinkles and improved color evenness. Patients often say that it looks like their skin went from looking tired to vibrant.
• Mild wrinkles
• Scars
• Keratosis
• Sun damage (e.g., freckles)
• Pigment irregularities
Most skin areas can be treated. Popular treatment areas are the face and neck, though some people also treat the chest and hands
Your skin will be cleaned in the treatment area and your eyes will be protected with safety shields. The technician will position the laser handpiece above the skin and will hold it in place as the computer-guided scanner moves the laser beam around the treatment area. Depending on the size of the area being treated, the procedure usually lasts 10 to 20 minutes.
One of the primary advantages of Nano Laser Peel is that it causes little pain because it does not penetrate very deeply into the skin. At its most shallow settings, most people can tolerate treatment with no anesthetic at all.
Immediately after the treatment you will notice that the skin has a “frosty” appearance. This is the dehydrated skin that will peel away a next few days following the treatment. You may experience some skin redness and a sensation resembling sunburn, as well as mild swelling.
Because only the outer layer of skin is treated, most patients notice an obvious improvement in tone, texture and color evenness once the skin heals in approximately 2-3 days.
A MicroLaserPeel removes a very thin layer of skin to improve fine lines, pigmentation, tone and texture – restoring a more youthful appearance. Gently revitalizing the entire skin surface, a MicroLaserPeel is performed, and you can return to normal activities quickly.

Excellent results can be obtained in just one treatment, however the number of treatments needed may vary from patient to patient. Your technician can personalize a plan based on your specific needs and may chose to combine MicroLaserPeel with other aesthetic procedures to further personalize your treatment.

Depending on the depth of treatment, most patients feel comfortable enough to return to work within 3 to 4 days – an attribute that has given rise to the nickname “the weekend peel.”
You may be given skin care products and instructions on how to use them. Your skin will be sensitive to ultraviolet light after the procedure, so you must avoid direct sun exposure until fully healed. It is recommended that you always use some level of solar protection to avoid sun damage and premature aging of your skin.

The South Beach Peel™ reduces the appearance of sun damage, age spots, freckles and other brown and red hyper-pigmentation of the skin, while the outermost layers of the skin are gently removed leaving a bright glow to your skin.
Although best results will be seen in a package, noticeable results will be seen after just one treatment. The South beach Peel™ is great for the face, neck, décolleté and hands!

The combination of a broadband light with a superficial epidermal peel, work together to repair several different skin concerns as well as helping to restore the skin’s elasticity and new collagen synthesis. It also aids in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The South Beach Peel will be customized based on your skin type and specific needs.
Because the South Beach Peel includes the BBL and the superficial skin resurfacing (micro laser peel) great results may be noticed in one treatment. However, optimal results are typically seen in 3 or 4.
Temporary redness or flaking may appear 24 – 72 hours post treatment. The South Beach Peel is minimally invasive with quick, noticeable results. It is important to wear sunscreen and avoid sun exposure as your skin needs time to heal and rejuvenate.
Several areas of the body can be treated however; the most common areas are the face, neck and décolleté.
The South Beach Peel is a 2-part process designed specifically for patients looking to slough off sun-damaged skin, improve tone and texture, and treat dark spots, fine lines, and wrinkles.
Part I: BBL™ Photo Rejuvenation BBL stands for BroadBand Light and is a type of intense pulsed light technology that treats sun and age spots as well as vascular issues and rosacea. BBL works by treating the upper layers of the dermis to stimulate your skin cells, which helps to restore your skin to a more youthful state. During treatment, you will feel warm as the light energy is absorbed deep in your skin. You may feel a gentle snapping sensation, like a rubber band being snapped against your sin. The entire BBL portion will take about 15 to 30 minutes.
Part II: MicroLaserPeel®
During the second phase of your South Beach Peel, we will pass the MicroLaserPeel handpiece over the treatment area as quick pulses of laser energy are emitted. This energy will heat up the moisture in your skin and vaporize certain areas of the epidermis. This allows new cells to take the place of damaged skin. As with the BBL treatment, most patients compare the feeling of the laser treatment to tiny rubber band snaps. This phase of your South Beach Peel typically takes up to 45 minutes.
Recovery time can vary, especially because each patient is unique and they will have a customized treatment where the depth of the laser is tailored to their needs. With that said, healing usually will take a few days, so many people have their South Beach Peel on a Thursday or Friday and return to work the following Monday. Usually, immediately after the treatment, it looks like you have a slight sunburn, but this will begin to fade after about 3 days and can be covered by makeup by day 4 or 5.
The BBL therapy will trigger collagen growth, providing you with smoother, healthier skin, while the MicroaserPeel portion of the treatment can significantly lighten areas of sun damage, acne scars, keratoses, and pigmented lesions. Overall, the treatment enhances collagen and melanin, which leaves your skin more youthful and refreshed.
You can prolong your results by most effectively by staying out of the sun. This is especially true during the weeks after your treatment, when your skin will be more susceptible to sun damage. Make sure to protect your skin with sunscreen, hats, and shade. It is also a good idea to follow a skincare regimen that fits your specific needs and will extend your results.
ProFractional is an ablative fractional resurfacing procedure that offers patients a shorter-downtime alternative to full-field ablative resurfacing. Powered by Sciton’s 2940nm Erbium:YAG laser, ProFractional is used to reverse the visible signs of aging and improve the appearance of hard-to-treat conditions like acne scaring and melasma on all skin types. Utilizing an ultra-high-speed computerized scanner, ProFractional ablates microscopic channels in the skin separated by small bridges of intact tissue. Since only a fraction of the skin is actually treated, ProFractional can safely ablate tissue to greater depths than full-field resurfacing with the added convenience of a shorter recovery.
ProFractional fractionally resurfaces the skin by treating only a portion of the skin within a targeted treatment area. Laser energy is deposited in a grid-like pattern, creating narrow, micro-ablated channels in the skin that extend to a precise depth. Treatment depth is adjusted by the physician and will vary depending on the target condition and the patient’s available downtime.
Scientifically, ProFractional works on the principle of fractionated photothermolysis – the process in which laser energy is absorbed by a target chromophore in the skin and converted to heat. Chromophores are molecules that absorb light and the human body contains three – water, hemoglobin (red blood cells), and melanin (pigment).
ProFractional’s Er:YAG laser emits invisible infrared light at a wavelength of 2940 nanometers (nm) which corresponds to the peak absorption spectrum of water. As a result, ProFractional is able to eliminate damaged tissue by instantly heating the water within skin cells, causing immediate vaporization. Erbium’s efficient absorption also transfers significantly less heat to surrounding tissues compared to other fractional resurfacing technologies like CO2. Reducing unnecessary heat buildup greatly improves patient comfort during treatment and speeds post-treatment recovery by minimizing heat-related swelling that can lengthen healing time.
Your ProFractional treatment will provide both immediate and lasting improvement by removing damaged tissue during treatment and activating long-term fibroblast production and collagen matrix rejuvenation below the skin’s surface.
If you are considering fractional resurfacing, ProFractional is an excellent treatment option for anyone desiring brighter, smoother, younger looking skin with the least downtime possible for a light to deep ablative treatment. You should also know that ProFractional is the gold-standard, for treating all types of scaring on the face and body, including deep acne scars, surgical scars, traumatic scars, and keloid scars.
During your initial consultation, we will discuss your concerns and treatment goals and answer any questions you may have. The technician will explain your treatment options and build a personalized treatment plan based upon your specific and individualized needs.
On the day of your procedure, you will be asked to arrive at our office 1 hour prior to your treatment to allow sufficient time for a topical anesthetic to be applied and begin working.
The treatment typically takes 20 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the area being treated. Once the skin is fully numb, the treatment is slightly uncomfortable.
Following your procedure, the technician will apply the proper skincare regime to keep the skin moist and help speed recovery. Depending on the depth of treatment, most patients can resume their normal daily activities, including the use of makeup, in as little as 5-7 days. As your skin heals, you’ll notice a gradual improvement in tone, texture, and radiance as collagen remodeling continues for several months. As with any laser procedure, your new skin will initially be more sensitive to UV exposure, so diligent application of a high-quality Zinc-based sunscreen and the avoidance of tanning is imperative. ProFractional results are maximized when performed in a series of treatments and can be further enhanced when performed in combination with a BBL.
